May is National Celiac Awareness Month, and here are FRESH Communications, we are passionate about helping people with gluten allergies. Not only do we have family members who live with Celiac Disease, but we also work with several amazing gluten-free food brands. Did you know that an estimated 1 in 133 Americans, or about 1% of the population, has celiac disease? And we’re not just talking about those who are choosing to avoid gluten because of dietary preferences. Celiac disease is actually a genetic autoimmune disease and if left untreated can have serious health consequences.
But enough of the doom and gloom! Let’s talk about FOOD.
What’s FRESH on Boston 25?
In honor of Celiac Awareness Month, FRESH Communications took on two exciting projects. First, Sheri Kasper, RDN, LDN, our CEO and Stephanie Ferrari, MS, RDN, our president, presented a round up of some of our favorite gluten-free products for a “What’s FRESH Around Town” segment on Boston 25 News.
